CAPOXI IPEV project : the oxidation capacity of the atmosphere 35-75°S

The CAPOXI 35-75 project aims to document the oxidative capacity of the Southern Hemisphere along a North-South gradient, extending from Amsterdam Island (37°S) to the Concordia station (75°S) passing by the Dumont d’Urville coastal station (67°S).

By managing scientific stations covering latitudes from 37°S to 75°S, the IPEV offers the possibility of studying the oxidizing capacity of the atmosphere in highly contrasted environments allowing easier highlighting of interactions between atmospheric reactive species.

The fieldwork associated with CAPOXI can be understood with the blog of a winterer (in French).
