Art & Science
Created in 2025 by the Névé association and myself, Messages Glaciaires invites the public to discover climate change through art rather than lectures. This original show gives a voice to ice, not through laboratory instruments, but through music.
The show depicts a meeting between two glaciologists in the depths of Antarctica. The enthusiasm of youth meets the weariness of years spent on scientific expeditions, as both question the meaning of their research and their connection with the vast, magical world of ice.
What begins as a scientific lecture gradually turns into a concert : ice becomes a musician, science and matter begin to resonate, and the boundaries between research and art start to dissolve.
The show offers a musical translation of glacier messages, transforming scientific data into rhythm and emotion. By listening to these melodies from the cold, spectators are led to reflect on their own relationship with ice and, more broadly, on the impact of our lifestyles on the fragile balance of our ecosystem.
