In this talk, I will present past, present, and future work on the impacts of global change on the cycle of toxic (e.g., mercury) or climate-active (e.g., aerosols, aerosol precursors) chemicals. An emphasis will be put on changes at the atmosphere–cryosphere interface in both alpine and polar regions.
