Sandrine Anquetin

My research contributes to the understanding of the water cycle. I have developed my research by jointly conducting bottom-up and top-down approaches to better understand the vulnerability of populations to hydro-climatic hazards. My interdisciplinary research has shown that social vulnerability to extreme hydro-climatic events strongly evolves with time and space. Since 2018, I am responsible of the LMI NEXUS between France-IRD and Côte d’Ivoire that aims to enhance inter and transdisciplinary research to address the interactions between climate – water – energy – agriculture in particular for the elaboration of Climate Services for energy in West Africa. I am also part of the GREC Alpes Auvergne Science-Society intermediation structure, part of the GREC’s national network, that aims at bringing the academic community closer to that of regional actors around issues related to their implementation of actions to mitigate, anticipate and adapt to the effects of climate change.
