Research Interests

Our research is concerned with understanding the fate and behaviour of contaminants in remote regions of our planet. Due to its peculiar reactivity, toxicity and ubiquity, we developed a great interest in the study of atmospheric mercury chemistry and its cycling in remote places including polar regions . As part of the Institut des Géosciences de l’Environnement, our approach combines lab, field studies and monitoring of the atmosphere, the snow and ice. We have also developed interest in microbial/chemical interaction in the snow and in the atmosphere.
