The chaotic ocean variability could locally mask sea level trends
Natural and anthropogenic atmospheric changes induce long-term trends in regional sea level. Designed at IGE, the OCCIPUT ensemble simulation shows that a random variability, spontaneously generated by the ocean, could mask regional sea level trends over about 38% of the global ocean area.
