Dr Curran will introduce the Australian ice core research group and outline current projects with French collaboration, including the Aurora Basin North ice core project, which France is a key partner. Dr Curran will provide an update of the ABN project (300m ; 2700 years) and results to date. An update on progress on the Mount Brown South drilling project will also be given. A plan for future Australian deep ice core drilling of oldest ice will be presented.
